Aesthetically pleasing themed theme park areas we love

One thing we love about theme parks is a good, aesthetically pleasing themed area. We’ve seen many beautifully themed theme park areas on our travels and hope to see many more in the future! Of the parks we have actually visited in the past, these are some of our favourite aesthetically pleasing themed theme park areas.

Klugheim - Phantasialand

There’s no doubt that the rockwork surrounding Taron is some of the best in the world, and in comparison the rest of Klugheim does not disappoint. The attention to detail throughout the area is incredible. Everywhere you look you’ll find stone, wooden beams and tiny details like lanterns and windows. It’s a feast for your eyes! Every inch of the area is brimming with stunning themed buildings, walls and objects. Even the Klugheim toilets are beautifully themed. It’s got to be one of our favourite areas we’ve visited (so far) in terms of its aesthetics.

The Towers & Gardens - Alton Towers

Alton Towers just wouldn’t be Alton Towers without the Towers! One of the things about the park that makes it unique is its abundance of green space and gardens. The well maintained lawns and shrubberies give the place a grand, majestic feel, which is rare for a theme park. A nod to the site’s heritage is Alton Abbey, which can be seen as soon as you enter down main street. Alton’s gardens are beautiful and really give the place a magical vibe.

Main Street - Disneyland Paris

The iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle has got to be the most aesthetically pleasing sight to see at Disneyland Paris. Due to its position in the center of the park, you can see it from many different angles. But perhaps the most stunning is from the top of main street as you first enter the park. It’s especially beautiful when it’s lit up for the the evening firework and lights show!

Liseberg at Night

Liseberg’s old-meets-new aesthetic is one of our all time favourites. One of the things we love about it is the way it looks when it’s lit up at night. The buildings are all covered with beautiful lights, the entrance looks incredible and there’s even a lightbulb arch tunnel which you can walk through. It’s good news that Liseberg looks so great at night time since the park is open for so long in the evening!

These are just a few of the aesthetically pleasing theme park areas we’ve experienced so far on our travels. We can’t wait to visit more parks and discover new beautiful theming along the way!
