what is coaster bot?
coaster bot was first created on YouTube with the debut of ‘What is: Nemesis’ on 19 July 2015. The idea was to create videos that explored some of the facts and stats of the world’s most interesting roller coasters.
Since then, coaster bot has expanded both on and off YouTube. Today we cover a whole host of topics, from roller coaster safety to theme park queue design, and even why you can’t put your hands up on some rides!
“I’ve always been a fan of roller coasters, even from a young age.
“The older I got, the more I realised that there are loads of people out there who are enthusiastic about roller coasters and theme parks. I soon decided to combine a few interests of mine, my love of understanding how things work, my enjoyment of editing and producing videos, and my growing interest in theme parks. Shortly afterwards, Coaster Bot was born on YouTube.
“Things have changed since then. We’ve created a podcast, set up the world’s largest annual roller coaster poll, and produced better videos than ever. Throughout all of this, the main idea behind Coaster Bot has always been the same, to get other people interested in theme parks and roller coasters. By explaining how rides work and why roller coaster restraints are safe, for example, I hope to encourage more people to enjoy theme parks.”
