Coaster Bot was started by Harry Davies, a theme park enthusiast from the UK with a passion for creating videos. He created the channel on the 19th of July 2015 on YouTube, with its first upload being 'What is: Nemesis'. Since then, the channel has grown to gain over 55k followers across various types of social media, as well as over 7 million YouTube views. Over the years, new members have joined the channel, transforming it from a one-man operation into a collaborative team of enthusiastic people.
How did it all start?
Harry frequently visited theme parks from a young age, but only realised his ‘obsession’ with roller coasters back in 2010. His interest grew rapidly, especially while following the construction of The Smiler at Alton Towers in 2013, but it wasn’t until 2015 when Harry would create his first video about theme parks. However, this wasn’t his YouTube debut - in the past he’d produced videos for a gaming channel. This meant he had some prior experience before starting Coaster Bot.
Since it’s creation, the channel has seen some serious changes. Starting out with only the ‘what is’ series, and quickly expanding to include the ‘explained’ series. Both of which are now firm favourites among Coaster Bot fans. Over the years, the channel has also been host to many live streams, vlogs and most recently the Coaster Bot Rambles podcast. Throughout all of this, Harry and the rest of the team have always strived for high quality content channel wide.
Looking to the future, the Coaster Bot team hopes to continue their development of new and unique content for the channel. There are many exciting ideas in the pipeline, but the team are always open to creative suggestions for fresh videos.
