Photo Competition 2019 Results
The results are in!
After nearly 400 entries and close to 250 votes, it’s finally time to announce the winner of this year’s Photo Competition! You submitted a massive amount of entries this year and should all be proud of the photos you’ve taken. Thanks to everyone who was a part of the competition, whether you entered a photo or voted for your favourite!
Without further ado, here’s the ranking of this year’s top 10 photos:
10th Knoebels by Hudson B.
Hudson’s beautiful photo of the Knoebels sign takes 10th spot. The colours on this one are gorgeous - we are all big fans!
9th Dragon Khan by Jeff F.
In 9th place was Jeff’s fantastic photo of Dragon Khan at PortAventura. The timing on this one was awesome, with the train navigating the ride’s zero-g roll!
8th Monster by Nick F.
Coming in 8th place was Nick’s photo of Monster at Adventureland! The ride is known for it’s amazing light package and this image captured it perfectly.
7th Untamed by Caleb B.
Grabbing the 7th spot was Caleb’s photo of Untamed at Walibi Holland. The new for 2019 coaster was the focus of many entries this year!
Joint 5th Kärnan by Michael S.
Michael took joint 5th with his wide shot of Kärnan (a personal favourite coaster of Harry’s). It’s a great ride and this image really shows it!
Joint 5th Red Force by Tyax
Tyax brings home joint 5th position with his unique photo of Red Force at Ferrari Land. The station shot adds real depth to the launch straight!
4th Copperhead Strike by Will C.
Sunsets and Carowind’s Copperhead Strike really go together. Will nailed the lighting on this one to secure the number 4 spot!
3rd Manta by Brad S.
Coming in 3rd place was Brad’s amazing photo of Manta at SeaWorld San Diego. The timing on this was truly is sublime - the fireworks are awesome!
2nd The Smiler by Jen R.
Jen and Andrew took 2nd place with this extremely creative shot of the Smiler at Alton Towers. The glass ball shows just how twisted the ride really is!
1st Gatekeeper by Bryce B.
Just wow, I don’t know how he did it but Bryce captured Cedar Point’s Gatekeeper in such an intimidating and abstract way. This photo truly deserves the number 1 spot. You should definitely check out more of Bryce’s photos by heading over to his Instagram page!

We had so many awesome entries this year and the level of quality across all the photos was much higher, which was great to see.
